Music composer Vishal Dadlani apologised to Jain monk Tarun Sagar for his sarcastic tweet on spiritual leader’s addressing the Haryana assembly last month.

This time, Dadlani went to meet the spiritual leader at his ashram in Chandigarh to personally apologise to him.

This is the third time the music composer has apologised to the spiritual leader.

Earlier, his tweeted his apology. Then he wrote an open letter, explaining reasons behind his apology.

In his open letter, he had said,”As a concerned Indian, I should have been especially careful to be sensitive to the sentiments of followers of Muni Tarun Sagar ji. I apologise again, from the depths of my heart, and ask that Muni-ji and all my Jain brothers and sisters, forgive me.”

The 43-year-old said he has realised a lot about himself in last 10 days and he and ‘Guruji’ have developed a bond of friendship.

“Guruji accepted my apology, he has forgiven me and I think we’ve also developed a bond of friendship. I have realised a lot about myself in the last 10 days. I have come here as my eyes have been opened,” the singer-composer told reporters after the meeting.

After facing criticism from spiritual leaders’ followers, he quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and said he would only work for social causes.

Also, a FIR was lodged against him on August 29, accusing him of hurting Jain sentiment. The Supreme Court had also refused protection from arrest.”I did not come here to talk about the case,” he said today.

However, social media users are miffed with Dadlani for being a hypocrite and crumbling under political pressure.

Will anyone in this country stand by their decision , by their words or it is too much to ask?
