B.Tech Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves production,
designing and operations of machines. The objective of this course is to prepare students to
apply the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and
maintenance of mechanical systems.
Students who have passed Class 12 in Science stream from a recognized board are eligible
to apply for admission to the BE Mechanical Engineering course. Almost all the top
engineering institutes in the country admit students on the basis of entrance examinations
like JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering course. Mechanical
engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials
science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is
the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical
power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the
oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. It is four years duration course. The value of the
course is immense, and it is job orienting in nature. Most of the colleges/universities are
offering the course in the country.
Aspiring students should have passed 10+2 with subjects such as physics
Admission to all undergraduate programs (B.Tech.) is made through the Joint Entrance
